Agape Mission

Food for kids

Agape' Onsite

Agape' onsite feeding program prepares a nutritiouse meal complete with dessert and drink free to anyone in need 6 days a week. Agape also manages MMO's weekend delivery to a few elderly and shut-ins several years ago, and our Saturday workers deliver to about 20 people each Saturday. Agape' coordinates with the Washington County Nutrition Project that if the individuals are at lease 60 years of age, they go on their program; however, if individuals are disabled and under the age of 60, Agape' provides them a meal until they turn 60 and then they go on the WCNP program.

Agape' Food-for-Kids

Agape' Food-for-Kids Program helps ensure that children don't go hungry during the weekends and holidays when they don't have access to their school's free and reduced-price breakfasts or lunches. Agape' currently serves children in 14 area schools and all schools in Washington County are eligible to be a part of this program. In 2011-12 school year we broke records weekly with the number of students. Agape' served over 575 children per week in this program.

During the school year, free and reduced cost breakfast and lunch are available to eligible students Monday thru Friday at the schools. On Friday a sack of food is given to students identified by the school as lacking sufficient food for the weekend.

Jane Phillips Elementary School

Agape' also organizes all the party treats for Jane Phillips Elementary School. Several church ladies groups come together and adopt a particular class or classes and provides cupcakes and drinks for the parties and has done this for several years. Churches that are currently doing this are First Assembly of God, , Grace Community, First Christian Church/Disciples of Christ and East Cross Methodist. These churches have been a great blessing to these children and to JPS.

Westside Community Center

Agape' gives Westside Community Center food for their after school children in their programs and gives food to other agencies that need food around the area. The food that is given away to clients and other agencies is an overage of what we have been blessed with that we cannot use before it would spoil, so it helps others and helps us keep the inventories rotated. The more we give, the more we receive, that's just the way it works.

If you, or someone you know would like to give financially to Agape’ and would like to put it on your credit card, log-on to our website at , click the “Donate” button, and then complete the form. This is a secure website, approved by Oklahoma Wesleyan University and the Fortune 500 as being a very safe site.

United Linen

Thanks to United Linen and Mat Saddoris, Agape' now has a van to minister and carry the food out to each location. This first year, the van is white, but our goal is to put a stage on it and paint it “lime green”. So when we go out to the neighborhoods, they will know our van immediately.

Lyons Foundation
